Uña de Gato bark

Organic Uña de Gato (Cat’s Claw) vine bark harvested sustainably at our property by us the Kichwa people of Pastaza / Napo province of Ecuador. We sell only very fresh and potent material that originates from the rainforest jungle.

Among the Kichwa families described here, this vine is known as Mulupu Kasha Waska and has a place in traditional plant knowledge. Local accounts associate it with responses to fever, colds and bodily discomfort. These are reports of traditional practice, not established effects or treatment recommendations for the bark sold here.

In local spiritual narratives, this vine is associated with dreams of spirit doctors dressed in white.

Some people also call this vine Cat's Claw, Vilcacora, Kočičí dráp and Mačací dráp.
